A lengthy, interesting slow burn of a film. I enjoyed this anti-blaxploitation, anti-vampire film; Filled with sexual and non-sexual double entendres. Covering themes like the blessing and curse of religion, addiction, the hang ups of relationships and the negative aspects of minority success. Ganja and Hess is a odd, effective and fascinating film. Definitely not for everyone but the few seeking and finding the full, uncut version (beware of the Blood Couple cut) will be rewarded.
