Christopher Reeves stars. The acting is great but the story is blasphemous! Wow, a priest that deals with the mob, "cooks" the Vatican's books, kills and also sleeps with a nun! Reeves is very good as a truly un-likable man who gets "rewarded" on many different levels. Monsignor could have been a real hoot but takes itself way to seriously than it should.
